I grew up in a quiet mountain village in Guizhou, China, surrounded by endless bamboo forests. Local villagers live off bamboo—they plant and craft bamboo goods to support their families, living in gentle harmony with nature for generations.
My grandparents spent their whole lives tending bamboo to raise our family. After my grandma passed away, I got her portrait tattooed on my arm to carry her with me everywhere.
I always dreamed that the bamboo from my hometown, the craft my grandparents dedicated their lives to, shouldn’t stay hidden deep in the mountains. So I traveled 7,000 miles alone to the US, to bring this quiet, warm bamboo culture overseas.
Every bamboo cup and tableware you hold is made of pure native bamboo from my village. Unlike recycled paper with short, fragile fibers that go soggy quickly with hot drinks, or wood pulp that takes 20–30 years to regrow, our bamboo matures in just 3–5 years without pesticides. Its tight, long fibers stay sturdy against high heat, and fully break down into soil after use.
Borders separate countries, but our shared wish to live gently with nature has no boundary. Every bamboo piece crosses 7,000 miles carrying my grandma’s lifelong work and my village’s quiet life. Our Heritage
BambooLiving was born in Chishui, Guizhou — a world-renowned bamboo capital where native bamboo forests stretch across 1.382 million mu of managed land. For over three decades, we have operated directly from the source, refining the art and science of transforming this remarkable grass into products that replace plastic, wood, and synthetic materials in daily life.
What started as a regional bamboo processing workshop has grown into a vertically integrated manufacturer with 53 patents, a Bamboo Industry Academician Workstation, and the capacity to produce over 500,000 bamboo pallet sets per year alongside our full consumer product lines.
We believe bamboo is not a compromise — it's a genuine material upgrade. Moso bamboo matures in 3–5 years (vs. 20–30 for hardwood), generates zero waste in our production process, and our processed bamboo achieves density of 750–850 kg/m³ — more than double standard wood. Every product we ship is built on this conviction.
